A Repair Cafe is a place where you can take household items to be mended by volunteers. You give a donation of money for this service. They usually happen monthly or every other month. There is probably one close to where you live, as there are 35 all across Devon and thousands worldwide. There is usually cake served too, as most have a cafe available for refreshments while you wait for your item to be repaired. See the full list on the Recycle Devon website.
