Watch out for a monster in a bin coming to a school near you soon!
Bonster The Hungry Monster is a book and assembly produced as part of a food waste campaign in Torbay and Teignbridge with Devon County Council, Torbay Council and Resource Futures. The campaign is now being rolled out to schools across the county, thanks to further funding from District Councils.
The story’s hero is Bonster, who travels from ‘Leftover Land’ to meet some local children and finds out just how much food we waste! But have no fear Bonster can also save the day as he loves to eat food waste and can put it to good use.
The aim of the interactive story is to engage schoolchildren who take home Bonster the Monster stickers for their food waste caddy at home. If they find they don’t have one, they can collect one from school the next day.
